The Team

The summer season recently ended for the Charlotte 5-on-5 Ultimate league. This season I’ve been a part of “The Team”, a crack Ultimate unit framed for a crime we didn’t commit. We were sent to a maximum security prison where we promptly escaped. Now we patrol the fields at Park Road Park forcing flick and tossing hammers…but I digress.
This was a fun team to play on the last few months. We ended up first place at the end of the regular season. Once the playoffs began we promptly found our way to the Championship where we promptly lost to my buddy Theological Ted’s team. I suppose if I have to lose I may as well lose to one of my elders.
Being one that does a poor job talking to people I don’t know I have to take advantage of things Ultiamte leagues. These are places where I can meet people outside of my normal day to day life. Good people like Never-Aging Neal, Mountain Missin’ Mike, and All Around Ultimate Ace Andy.
“The Team” is a good team made up of good people. Win or lose we find ourselves at Angry Ale’s enjoying a drink and laughing. Two things I do enjoy far to infrequently.
